Job Description:
The “King of Snow” is looking for a Platform Manager to add to the team at their Brillion, WI headquarters. This role will have a seat at the table to set the technical vision for the snow & ice products family. Will lead the development team that maintains and launches the engineering portion of products. This role is also a working leadership role, requiring hands-on involvement in project completion.

 

The Day to Day…

Assembles and manages the multidisciplinary technical team that delivers the strategic engineering vision of a product platform.
Ultimately responsible for all work produced by the team members.
Responsible for product launch timelines and resource management to hit those timelines.
Drives innovation activities within the engineering team and holds team members accountable to push innovation projects forward to conclusion.
Teaches best practices.
Contributes to strategic and tactical plans to support the broader business plan.
Prepares engineering documents including cost estimates, appropriation requests, project schedules, design specifications.
Leads technical design reviews related to technology and sub-systems that will be used on assigned platform and innovation projects.
Continuously monitors group work and mentors team members on best practices for executing project work.
The Qualifications…

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B. S.) from a four-year accredited institution with the focus being relevant to the job requirements of the technical team that he/she manages (example: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc.)
10 or more years of relevant experience preferred with a significant amount in a leadership role either of direct reports or on project teams.
A additional business degree or a project management certification is a plus.
