Tenure Track Faculty Position in Mechanical Engineering & Materials Science (Quantum Materials)
The Department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science at Yale University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the broad area of experiment-based research in quantum materials. The appointment is expected to begin in July 2022. Candidates should strengthen and complement the department and university’s research activities related to the discovery, design, synthesis or characterization of quantum materials broadly defined.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in a relevant discipline and an outstanding record of research that demonstrates originality in addressing significant questions in the field. We expect the successful candidate to establish a dynamic research group, be an interactive member of the faculty, participate in interdisciplinary research and training, and excel in regular graduate and undergraduate teaching of the mechanical engineering and materials science curriculum.
