Danfoss in Loves Park, IL is searching for a Manufacturing Engineering Intern. This intern will work with Manufacturing Engineers and Production Maintenance on projects aimed to improve quality, productivity, and delivery and improve uptime on equipment.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
Completing Root Cause Problem Solving tasks
Design, fabricate and utilize 3D printing with Solid Modeling
Improve level of 5S on factory floor
Deploy lean initiatives throughout the factory
Assist Manufacturing Engineers with their daily tasks
Assist Production Maintenance with daily tasks

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or similar
Candidates must be located within 50 miles of the work location
Availability to work at least 16 hours/week
Ability to do physical work and use mechanical tools for construction or alterations of current equipment
Ability to read, write and verbally communicate
Ability to work with mathematical concepts used for LEAN processes
Computer knowledge including CAD, Solid Modeling, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
Ability to work in fast-paced atmosphere
Desire and dedication to be a key contributing member of a hardworking team
Initiative, flexibility in working weekends if needed, and ability to work independently
