Job Responsibilities:

The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for maintaining the safe operation and reliability of the refinery fixed and rotating equipment by applying standard engineering principles, theories, concepts, and techniques in providing solutions to a variety of fixed equipment problems that develop during operation, maintenance repair and/or turnarounds, as well as performing root cause failure analysis in order to make recommendations for fixed equipment that will eliminate the causes for equipment unreliability.

 

Additional duties include:

Provide technical support to maintenance & operations to increase fixed equipment availability and reduce maintenance costs
Apply standard engineering principles, theories, concepts, troubleshooting, scope development and other techniques to provide solutions to a variety of fixed or rotating equipment problems
Participate in Hazard and Operability studies and work to resolve engineering action items

Minimum Qualifications
B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Overall GPA of 3.0 or above (A=4.0) (Must provide proof of current GPA at time of hire to verify eligibility requirements are met)
Refinery/Petrochemical process plant engineering experience providing technical support for piping, fixed or rotating equipment, preferred
Valid driver’s license required
